When is it okay for my baby move in your own bedroom?
My child is 3 months and 4 weeks of age. Sleep completely through of hours (6 to 6 am) several nights a week. It is beginning to look really great in his Moses basket (in our bedroom) and I felt it was time to judge in his own bed. I put it down tonight in a grobag in the crib. He fell asleep easily and we will monitor all night, but … husband is not happy. The Dpeartment of health officials say the baby should be in your room for 6 months. Has anyone have any advice?
They say that the baby must stay in the bedroom for 6 months due to SIDS. The reason is that when you move in sleep and a baby hears the sounds, which is capable of waking periodicly (as if you roll over, is usually loud enough to wake him for a second and fall back asleep). However, it is good to move into her own room. I would recommend get a white noise machine so you can have the same effects.
