Unfortuntely, Higgins, Laraque and Tanguay are currently on injured reserve.

Defenders Canadiens players, Francis Bouillon, Patrice Brisebois, Mathieu Dandenault, Josh Gorges, Roman Hamrlik, Mike Komisarek and Andrei Markov. As with the players forward, the current reserves are injured claiming the defense Dandenault. Both goalkeepers Jaroslav Halak and Carey Price are very good though.

Prospective defenses are Chad Anderson, Shawn Belle Andre Benoit Mathieu Carle, Marvin Degon, David Fischer, Alex Henry, Scott Kishel, Konstantin Korneev, Ryan McDonagh, Ryan O'Byrne, Philippe Paquet, Greg Pateryn, Joe Stejskal, PK Subba, Nichlas Torp, Pavel Valentenko, Yannick Weber and Alexei Yemelin. Goalkeepers prospective includes Mark Denis, Cedrick Desjardins Loic Lacasse, Robert Mayer and Jason Missiaen and not one of these two groups of injured.
