What is the best, if appropriate, how to sell my oak bedroom furniture, please read?
I have a collection of oak furniture beutiful bedroom is really for next to nothing, but it's great. I know nothing about the value of furniture, but now that I am 56, I am finding that things I have in my house are actually collecting, etc. I think there's something good to be on the wrong side of 50

The sad part of something beautiful, and made furniture is that many people can not or do not appreciate it. I found that this is true when an appraiser came across a farm that was driving and putting these values in some ridiculously small pieces of furniture. His response was that there is a small market for "used" furniture, most young people today prefer to go to a store "Big Box" and purchase "to-build-it" crap made of particle board to spend a few dollars more and have something they can cherish for years. Certainly you can try to sell the suite at eBay but unless the whole is really old, you can not find a buyer … You can try to put an ad in the classifieds of the local newspaper, but usually involves a lot of unwarranted calls. We offer "consignment" store in this area, taking in such factors, but if you have a need money on time, you may have to wait some time before the sale. auction houses are always looking for quality goods, but again we must be careful, because that costs can eat a lot of profit potential. Word-of-mouth may be the easiest, that people know at work, your place of worship, etc then there is always donation. You state that has come to "almost nothing", so if you're not looking to make some money, the need for space and want to feel good about it, you can call a local charity orgainzation. They could come pick it up for anything and you get a decent tax cancel. Good luck …. As I said, beautiful pieces can be difficult to "shake off". I have two of my parents, solid mahogany sideboards that none of my kids want, so do not know where will end ……….
